Dear Friend:
Greetings in The Name of Jesus!
Let me start by expressing my appreciation to you for your friendship. I am grateful
to God for knowing someone like you over the years--it has been my honor to lift
your name before the Lord each day and pray for you. God has used you in my
life--and in the lives of many others.
I would like you to help empower me in the ministry that God has called me to do. My
prayer is that you hear and see this call and help me affect others for the Kingdom
of God. Thanks for being one that that hears from God.
It is with great sensitivity that I write this letter to you. I am excited about
something that God is doing and I want to share it with you. As you know,
"Over the past several years, our nation has witnessed a significant,
life-changing movement of moral values in and through the hearts of families. Men,
women and children all over the world are asking "Does anybody know? Does anybody
care?"
They are searching for and screaming out for someone to provide them with practical
answers and assistance."
Parents are discovering that there is a void that needs to be filled. They are
discovering that they want a life that counts for something not only for them but
their children.
They want to see a difference in their lives and it is becoming clear to them that
activities, professions, hobbies, sex, addictions, sports, even traditional
programs, cannot fill this void.
Families from all over the United States truly desire to be better and are seeking
help. Many are turning to us. Every parent that we have ever met wants to be a
better provider and model! They just don't know how!
Whatever programs they have sought to use to meet the needs of their family are not
sufficient. The battle for the hearts of the family is beginning to take shape.
The stage is set for a dramatic awakening of our nation and yet, this potential does
not guarantee that widespread cooperation will actually happen.
But we are prepared to assist them. Here's our plan.
We want to provide a singles & parents, assistance, resources, education and support
program.
This program will provide a place where all parents and their children can belong,
grow, receive assistance and help in their relationship as a family without
condemnation.
Our mission is to reach out to, train and provide supportive services for parents in
raising a family and to help them become a successful part of society.
Think about how you could have benefited from such a program and what it truly means.
Parenting courses will be provided and extended because we want to facilitate
dialogue and true leaders to deal with life issues that face them each and every day
and to focus on the answer to each issue.
We want to provide support and encouragement for the healing and future health of
parents and their children on q global scale.
We want to provide a place to regularly meet with them to focus on solutions, to
support them and promote Godly values while we enjoy fellowship and social events.
In addition, S.P.A.R.E.S. will help coordinate practical helps for parents through
volunteer and community organizations and those parents who need childcare will
receive the support they need when they agree to complete the program.
S.P.A.R.E.S. will have six major components:
a.. Encourage basic communication with each others. (Remember - If you
need help, ASK for it!)
b.. Encourage spiritual, physical and social growth
c.. Provide education in skills
d.. Provide opportunities for fellowship with other parent and
families
e.. Provide practical assistance and services to parents and their
children
f.. Provide continual counseling and support
People are looking for the right process; they want a safe, supportive environment
in which they may grow to become a more, healthy family.
Since the problems can be many in bringing up our children and contending with the
emotional conflicts of marital problems, divorce, never-married,
separation or widowhood we want to:
a.. Promote a vision for a healthy family
b.. Listen and respond to the needs of families
c.. urture healthy family relationships
d.. Support families under stress
e.. Continually train families
f.. Develop links with other helping agencies
Through the exchange of ideas and fellowship, we hope to further the common elfare
and well-being of the family unit the way it was designed.
Parents will gain some helpful hints on how to make daily routines easier or resh
ideas on how to make life more interesting.
We want to help equip and strengthen all parents with the skills they have and need
to become more effective parents.
We will organize special activities for parents and their children, as well as an
occasional outing for "parents only" and "children only."
There will be help on evaluating current or prospective life decisions as well as
help to balance things out, ideas on taking care of their need for stress reduction.
Parents are special men and women, because we have been given the responsibility of
rearing our children.
As we strive to complete our responsibility with care and diligence, we will work to
enrich and empower children and as our children become adult leaders, they will not
depart from what has been imparted upon them by our words, deeds and training.
We are committed to the following:
a.. Giving practical guidance, while leading by example
b.. Relying on proven principles to handle life's challenges facing us on a daily
basis
c.. Reaching out to those men and women who face these challenges
d.. Seeking proven principles in the instruction that have all ready been provided
e.. Continuing to train our children, knowing that as they become adults, they
will be wholly positioned to lead others
Parenting education does make a difference and we want to help them become more
aware of their strengths and to equip them to deal with the challenges
facing them so that they'll have a better understanding in raising their children
and being a success. An overwhelming majority of these programs are doing a "good
work" in the communities but are not seeking to advance the Kingdom on this earth.
We have particularly committed to assist the family while doing just that advancing
the Kingdom of God.
That is why I believe that S.P.A.R.E.S. is a great opportunity for you to make a
"mustard seed" investment that will generate incredible long-term returns and
efficiencies to many-many families who desperately need the help and assistance they
need. We have developed an aggressive and systematic program that will assist them
spiritually, economically, and socially for their participation in wanting to become
successful in life. We expect to train and assist over 200-500 families in the first
year alone and to cultivate relationships and generate an incredible witness for the
Lord Jesus Christ.
We are strategically positioned; we have a plan, and are currently empowering
families to fulfill their true purpose. Our staff has accumulated more than 20 years
of business and ministry experience. Only one barrier stands between us and
accomplishing this program... adequate funding to meet the growing need. You can
make S.P.A.R.E.S. a sustained reality. Would you pray and make the decision to plant
a seed that God has laid on your heart? A monthly pledge would even be appreciated.
Your seed can have a substantial affect on families and the Kingdom of God. Please
remember that your gift of any size will further our efforts to reach this in need.
